Access Your Inner Wisdom

Retreat Summary

Embark on a journey of self connection, wisdom and understanding, surrounded by like-minded community in beautiful Costa Rica. On this week long retreat - from May 22nd to 28th, 2027- we will engage in somatic practices that aim to regulate your nervous system, develop a deep and empathetic connection with your body and connect with community - within a safe container. This retreat is designed for anyone looking to gain access to their inner wisdom in a safe space and explore their inner landscape with confidence and support. No experience or skill necessary.

During our time together, you can expect to be led through yoga and meditation classes steeped in traditional wisdoms and grounded by an instructor who has 30 years of experience. Her skill is deeply felt and represents years of training through a multitude of international programs. There will be two yoga classes offered each day, and a multitude of opportunities to build meditative skill.

Each day, you will be led through 2 hours of expressive art therapy. These sessions will encourage connection to self in a deep and compassionate way. These classes are designed to create safety in our closed group and allow each individual to express at their own pace. Our focus is on creative expression without aesthetic interest; we lovingly refer to this as bad art. With each passing day, you will trust your body's natural wisdom and feel a stronger sense of self.

You will be nourished with 3 Ayurvedic meals per day, prepared especially for you. These farm to table meals (when possible) are meticulously planned to support your health and wellbeing through this experience.

Throughout the week, a multitude of opportunities will arise; from curated rituals that embrace moving slowly and mindfully, to psycho-educational classes which integrate wellness practices at home. With the local surf town and beach just a 15 minute walk away - you get the best of both the jungle and salt water. Through our lovely hosts at Peace Retreat, schedule a spa service, guided waterfall hike, surf lesson or zip lining adventure! Keep reading to see an example of what our days might look like, and feel free to contact the hosts of this retreat to learn more about the schedule.

7:00 am; Early Riser Flow (optional)
This early morning flow is a soft yoga practice intended for our participants who naturally rise with the sun. We encourage this practice to be considered "optional," to honour the rhythm and needs of your body.
8:00 am; Slow Morning Ritual
Led in our ceremony space, we begin the day with intention, peace and a shared cup of tea. Reading materials or journalling materials encouraged.
8:30 am; Breakfast
Individually platted and curated to honour Ayurvedic tradition. During breakfast we will engage in intentional silence to anchor our nervous systems for the day and improve digestion. We are most excited for banana pancakes and tropical smoothie bowls!
10:00 am; Expressive Art
Our expressive art sessions will be held in a large open space where we can spread out and connect with the materials of the day. Starting slow, we will use art materials, movement and music to connect to self and bring our inner wisdoms to the surface. This deeply healing practice can be emotional, but you will be well supported by trained professionals.
12:30 pm; Lunch
Individually plated and curated to honour Ayurvedic tradition. Lunch is a time to share stories, insights and laughter. Connect with your peers over shared experiences. We are most excited for buddha bowls with peanut sauce!
1:30 pm; Free Time or Additional Class
Free time can be used in a multitude of ways; on days without additional offerings we encourage you to schedule a spa treatment or guided activity through Peace Retreats (think waterfall hikes, surfing and zip lining!). The popular beach town and gorgeous coast are only a 15 minute walk away or hangout on-site at the pool, library or café.
4:30 pm; Yang Yin Yoga
Reconnecting together after our much deserved afternoon rest: Yang Yin Yoga is only an example of the dynamic and unique yoga classes offered. We will begin with an energetic sequence of movements and end with a slow and deep stretch, queuing our bodies for the evening wind-down.
6:00 pm; Dinner
Individually plated and curated to honour Ayurvedic tradition. Dinner is an excellent time to reflect with your peers and look back on the day with grace and gratitude. We are most excited for mushroom fettuccine Alfredo (always a dairy free option available) and locally inspired tacos!
7:00 pm; Evening Meditation
Led in our ceremony space. We end our day together with intentional meditation inspired by the themes of that day.
